ATDC is The Advanced Technology Development Center located in Midtown, Atlanta and is one of the longest-running and largest university-based startup incubators in the country. Their annual event, Startup Showcase, is their largest as it puts the spotlight on the companies that have attracted nearly $2 billion in investments and who make up the ATDC Accelerate and Signature Companies.
Every spring over 50 Georgia-based startups from Atlanta, Athens, Augusta and Savannah showcase their technologies and highlight products to the Atlanta community, technology leaders, students, investors, corporations, partners and other entrepreneurs.
This year, Showcase took place during Atlanta StartUp Week on May 12 and it’s no surprise that Showcase broke their attendance record for the second year in a row. Nearly 900 attendees packed into the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center to view 65 startups who are revolutionizing industries with technology and products in markets like healthcare, marketing, and financial technology.
As ATDC’s acting General Manager, Jennifer Bonnet told Georgia Tech News, “We’re extremely proud of the companies we will be presenting this year Showcase; they represent a diverse array of technologies that are providing real solutions in different markets ranging from finical technology and advanced manufacturing to agriculture and information security among others”.
Converge was excited to participate in Showcase as one of ATDC’s Signature Companies for the first time. The Converge team spent Showcase talking to attendees interested in what new marketing technology Atlanta has to offer, highlighting how Converge has been able to help top hospitality and entertainment brands make their marketing measurable and demoing our product.
Overall we viewed Showcase as a success and thought it was a great event put on by ATDC. We appreciated and seized the opportunity to share and show off how the Converge marketing intelligence platform provides brands with automatic and accurate marketing insights that help them make better business decisions.
